Why You Should Step Into Action

ShoesWelcome to the team! The Wheat Foods Council is proud to partner with seeMOMMYrun to create a “Mom, the Everyday Athlete” nationwide run/walk on Saturday, May 19, 2007. The event enables moms at any fitness level to unite, improve their health and set a world record for the most steps taken by moms in one day.

Getting the recommended amount of daily physical activity can benefit your health in numerous ways. The American Heart Association recommends 30 minutes of physical activity most days of the week.

Walking and running are two great, no-hassle ways to get the exercise your body requires. You can do both pretty much anywhere, inside or out! Some of the benefits of walking and running include*:

• increasing chance of weight loss and reducing appetite;
• improving heart health and overall mood;
• increasing muscle tone, strength and endurance/stamina, and
• maintaining healthy bones.

We want to help you to achieve your daily activity goals. Use the following resources to prepare for a successful run/walk and improve your overall health.
