The Menu Planner is useful to those interested in healthful and nutritious diets, high school and middle school classes, and dietitians, health professionals, and nutrition educators for use in counseling and educational programming.

How Wheat Works Educational Guides

Nutrition

Bring How Wheat Works to life with your group or classroom.

As a group leader and/or educator, you can activate How Wheat Works with your group by using the following educational guides, which correspond with each phase, in conjunction with the online program. These tools provide activity suggestions along with helpful resources designed to bring the How Wheat Works experience to life.

  • “Mapping Out Wheat”: Helps to differentiate the six classes of wheat, where in the United States they are grown and what time of year they are harvested
  • “Baking in Nutrition”: Takes a hands-on approach to Baking 101 by encouraging groups to bake whole and enriched wheat bread and learn about the nutrition provided by each
  • “Lessons in Labels”: Uses real-life examples to explain how to read nutrition labels and decipher their content
